Making Smiles Accessible
The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is designed to help ease financial barriers to accessing oral health care for eligible Canadian residents. At Peterborough Denture Clinic, we believe everyone deserves a confident smile, which is why we are proud to participate in this program.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the CDCP, you must meet all of the following criteria as set by the Government of Canada:
- No access to dental insurance (employer, pension, or private)
- An adjusted family net income of less than $90,000
- Be a Canadian resident for tax purposes
- Have filed your tax return in the previous year
Co-payment Structure
Depending on your adjusted family net income, the CDCP will cover a percentage of your treatment costs at the established CDCP fees. You may be required to pay a co-payment:
*Percentages reflect the portion of the CDCP established fees covered by the program. Patients are responsible for the remaining co-payment.
What Does the CDCP Cover?
The CDCP covers a variety of denturist services to help restore your smile and oral function.
Complete Dentures
Standard complete dentures (upper and lower) are covered under the plan for eligible individuals.
Partial Dentures
Removable partial dentures to replace missing teeth and restore function are included in the coverage.
Relines & Repairs
Maintenance services like relines, rebases, and repairs to keep your dentures fitting comfortably.
Note: Some specific services, complex treatments, or premium materials may require pre-authorization or may not be fully covered by the CDCP. We will discuss all options and costs with you upfront during your consultation.

Apply Online
Apply for the CDCP through Service Canada online or by phone.
Receive Card
Once approved, you'll receive your Sun Life welcome package and CDCP card.
Book Consult
Call our clinic to book your appointment. Mention you are a CDCP patient.
Get Treated
Bring your CDCP card to your visit. We'll handle the claims processing for you.
